History to and Trust

Shri Banarsidas Chandiwala Sewa Smarak Trust Society (1952) is a registered trust society and it is situated at Chandiwala Estate, Maa Anandmayi Ashram Marg, Kalkaji, New Delhi. Established by Shri Brijkishan Chandiwala, a valiant freedom and close confidant of Mahatma Gandhi, the society was named in honor of his father, late Shri Banarsidas Chandiwala. Shri Brijkrishan Chandiwala`s unwavering commitment earned him the prestigious “PADAMA SHRI” award in 1963 for his exceptional contributions to social services. The primary objective behind the formation of SBCSSTS was to render exemplary services in the domains of health and education.

There are several Institutions which are running under the umbrella of SBCSSTS including Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute of Medical Sciences New Delhi, Banarsidas Chandiwala Dental & Eye Hospital (Jama Masjid, Delhi), Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology, New Delhi, Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute of Information Technology, New Delhi, Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute of Physiotherapy, New Delhi, Janki Devi Memorial College for Women.
